Pengalaman 'Live-Interview' di IIUM a.k.a UIAM !
'LIVE-INTERVIEW' EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE aka UIAM!
Bismillah,
Bertemu kita kembali dalam entry kedua saya yang melibatkan online interview di IIUM atau nama melayunya Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) dalam bidang pendidikan TAASL (Teaching Arab as Second Language).
(For this time, let's try to write my thoughts in english LMAO. Im the most rojak person ever)
Basically, I woke up in the morning and got my shower immediately, and then make some practices from 7:00+ a.m. to 9:30 a.m.. My interview started at 9:30 a.m. until 9:40 a.m. pssstt... quite short right? But when it comes to interview , everything will be not okay. It was the longest period I'd ever had lol. Honestly, I hate being interviewed the most. Thats why I'd never change my school LMAO.
For that 10 minute, they started by asking "Are you Nafisa (Full name)?" And then i said "yeah, thats me" but in Arabic Language.
They spoke Full Arab with me until at the most heartbreaking part when they asked "You stay at Kuala right? Tell us more about interesting places in Kuala" likeeee ohemgieeee i didnt prepare for this but i gave it a try by saying "We got soo many monkeys here in Kuala" , Then the lecturer when "MashaAllah" and shaking his head.
My live-interview ended perfectly by 10 minutes. But i never felt satisfied. I thought it was too short compared to my first thought of having 10 minutes interview as short period ever. I bursted into tears with the thought that i didnt made it out of my best during the whole interview. I cried a lot. And called my mum to share my insecurities with cuz at that time she was not by my side.
So guys, this is my honest entry ever i wrote without hiding any moments that i went through from the 'live-interview' thingy. Honestly, if I got accepted to IIUM, I would like to thanks to those whom secretly making duas for me, My mum & dad, My friends, My sibings. They're soo precious to me that I would like to 'belanja' all of them makan at fancy restaurants once i got paid for my expensive job in the future. LOL. That is a long way to go.
So juniors out there, if y'all are facing an online interview right now, don't be nervous like me LMAO. DON'T BE OVERPREPARED, also like me. And basically don't give yourelf high expectation because you will end up crying and blaming yourself for not doing good enough. Dear sayangs, You've done your the best! No need to compare yourself to other candidates. When you're making duas for yourself, don't forget to pray for your friends as well. Soo that both parties can be happy together.
If you were thinking that you're not compatible enough to enter international university because of your 'weak English'. DON'T DO THAT! You know what, by involving yourself with 'international' surroundings , you can improve your language skills. And maybe could learn others culture as well. SOOO DON'T BE SO NARROW MINDED BY SAYING YOU'RE NOT COMPATIBLE. (me talking to myself lol)
Just give it a try to whatever difficult situations you are facing right now. DON'T GIVE UP. Remember that there are some people that rooting for your success. And even you , yourself desires to be the best version of yourself. Hwaiting! 🤗🤩🤗🤩
Before i close this entry , let me share with you, questions that will be asked during Online Interview for admission to local / swasta universities.
- Tell them about yourself ; name, age, nationality, race etc.
- Reasons why they have to choose you
- Your strengths
- Your interests that related to the course you're applying
Those are basic questions that they may ask you, but don't be shocked if they ask you about 'interesting places in your country' LOL. and other not-so-related question as well. Just answer it lightly and don't be nervous.
Thats all from me 😆 And sorry for grammatical errors i made. Excuse my rojak as well ngehngeh.
Thank you for reading 😘🥰
